1. Follow a sensible healthy eating plan by
consuming a good varied intake of fresh fruits,
vegetables, whole grains and ensure a good but
not excessive intake of protein rich food.
2. To avoid becoming obese, one must not
eat excessive foods especially fatty foods,
sugary foods and refined carbohydrates.
3. Physical activity is also an important part of a
healthy lifestyle. The benefits of exercise such
as brisk walking, swimming and some stretching
can improve the functioning of heart and lungs,
increase strength and flexibility and contribute to
a feeling of well being.
4. Sit and relax in a quiet environment for
a minimum of 5 to 10 minutes everyday.
Keep your mind clear and do some deep
breathing. Take this time to revitalize
yourself and get in touch with your body.
5. Keep away from pollution and smoke-filled
environments. If you smoke, the sooner
you quit, the faster you'll lose years of age.
6. It is important to use sunblock creams
everyday especially on your face, or any
exposed parts of the body, to avoid UV rays
from damaging your skin.
